SUBSTANCE: Amoxicillin

Each Amoxicillinan tablet contains an active ingredient: 500 mg of amoxicillin (in the form of amoxicillin trihydrate) and auxiliaries: magnesium stearate, talc, brilliant blue E133, carmoasin E122, orange yellow E110, titanium dioxide, iron oxide yellow, gelatin. This drug belongs to the group of semisynthetic penicillins, broad-spectrum antimicrobial agents for systemic use. Suppress the growth of microorganisms that cause infections.

Method of administration of Amoxicillin and recommended doses:

Capsules should be swallowed whole, with a glass of water. Eating does not affect the absorption of amoxicillin. The duration of therapy is determined by the doctor and is usually 7-10 days (at least 2-3 days after the disappearance of symptoms). In the treatment of infections caused by beta-hemolytic streptococcus, the course of treatment is at least 10 days to prevent late complications (rheumatism, glomerulonephritis).

Side effects

Allergic reactions: urticaria, skin rashes, erythema, rash, angioedema, rhinitis, conjunctivitis, photosensitivity; Rarely – fever, arthralgia, eosinophilia; In rare cases – anaphylactic shock.
Other: may develop superinfection with the appearance of loose stool, nausea.
